We talk by phone or video call for about 20 minutes. There's no form to fill out beforehand. You'll share a little about what's bringing you in, I'll explain how I work with couples, and we'll go over practical details like sessions and fees. It's not a therapy session — it's a chance to get a sense of each other, ask questions, and figure out whether working together feels like the right fit.

Couples sessions are 55 minutes at $225. Extended 90-minute sessions are available when the work calls for it, at $280.

I don't bill insurance directly, and most plans unfortunately don't cover couples therapy. That said, I can provide a monthly superbill — an itemized receipt — that you may submit to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement. It's worth checking with your plan and asking:

  • Does my plan cover out-of-network therapy?
  • If so, at what percentage?
  • Does it cover couples therapy specifically, or only individual therapy?

Yes. All sessions are conducted securely online. This means:

  • Partners can join from different locations when needed
  • No waiting rooms
  • No commute to factor into an already full day

Research consistently shows that online couples therapy is as effective as in-person work, and many couples find it more practical, especially when managing full schedules alongside relationship challenges.

Sessions are available to couples throughout California.

There's no set answer. Some couples come in with a specific rupture or transition and leave when things have moved. Others find that monthly or bimonthly sessions become a useful rhythm — a place to check in, consolidate, or work through something new as it surfaces. Frequency is something we figure out together based on what's actually happening. Weekly sessions are common and beneficial early on, but they're not a requirement, and the pace shifts as the work shifts.

Reaching out is the hardest part. If you're here, you've already done something important. I'd be glad to hear from you.
